Street Painting has become a popular trend over the last decade, with amazing perspective works popping up in urban centers all over the world. One of those amazing painters is Juandrés Vera, currently based in Monterrey, Mexico.
Born April 8, 1980, Juandrés Vera was the second of three children. At an early age he showed significant natural talent, quickly learning to draw animals, landscapes, and even cartoon characters he saw on television. At age 17, Vera was already focused on drawing and material arts, and he began his studies at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. He later decided to switch schools to get his Bachelor of Arts in Camargo.
He began participating in street art competitions with his classmates, and quickly gained recognition for his formal approach, technical ability, and hyperrealistic style. At age 20 he got his first formal job as a painter of interior murals. This was an opportunity for him to escape family issues and live independently, and at the same time he took time off from his studies. For the next six years Vera spends his time almost exclusively on decorative painting, with some easel painting and commissioned work.
Since 2007, in addition to his work on easel, Vera has taken his street and mural painting to the next level, painting commissioned works all over the world, including the UK, the USA, Italy, and Mexico.
